Sleepy Hollow High SchoolBiology TeacherSpanish speaking ideal but not requiredThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction aligning with NYS Science standards as well and the NYS CRE Framework. The candidate will foster critical thinking and possess a deep understanding of diverse perspectives within a classroom environment. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design and implement engaging lessons to reach diverse student learning needs inclusive of students with varying abilities and English language learners, incorporate inquiry and project-based learning, facilitate lab experiments, create relevant and real-world connections the sciences content to stimulate critical thinking, continuously remain current with best practices, and continuously assess student progress.Required NYS Certification(s): Biology certification (7-12), additional certifications preferred.Appointment Type: Probationary TrackEffective: September 1, 2025Salary: Salary and benefits per the TAT Contract—range for teachers based on experience and education.Must attend New Educators’ Meetings (August 21, August 22, 25, 26) and Superintendent’s Conference Days, August 27th & 28th).
