English Language Art TeacherThe successful candidate will work to develop students’ academic and interpersonal skills through English Language Arts, teaching students how to interpret literature, poetry, and different literary genres. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design and deliver engaging lessons predicated on course goals and objectives aligned with NYS adopted standards to reach diverse student learning needs, inclusive of students with different abilities and English language learners. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the NYS Next Generation Learning Standards and the CRE Framework, demonstrate an understanding of effective pedagogical practices that promote a student-centered learning environment, and feel comfortable integrating technology as an instructional and learning tool, as well as work in collaborative environments including co-teaching and interdisciplinary planning.Required NYS Certification(s): English (7-12)Appointment Type: Probationary TrackEffective: September 1, 2025Salary: Salary and benefits per the TAT Contract—range for teachers based on experience and education.Must attend New Educators’ Meetings (August dates TBD), and Superintendent’s Conference Days, August 27th & 28th).Writing Sample: Please write about your teaching philosophy
