Social Studies TeacherThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive instruction aligning with NYS Social Studies Framework as well and the NYS CRE Framework. The candidate will foster critical thinking and possess a deep understanding of diverse perspectives within a classroom environment. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Design and implement engaging lessons to reach diverse student learning needs inclusive of students with varying abilities and English language learners, incorporate inquiry and project-based learning, create relevant and real-world connections to social studies content to stimulate critical thinking, continuously remain current with best practices in social studies education.Required NYS Certification(s): Social Studies Certification (7-12)Appointment Type: Probationary TrackEffective: September 1, 2025Salary: Salary and benefits per the TAT Contract—range for teachers based on experience and education.Must attend New Educators’ Meetings (August dates TBD), and Superintendent’s Conference Days, August 27th & 28th).Writing Sample: Please write about your teaching philosophy
