NOTICE OF ANTICIPATED VACANCY 2023-2024K-8 Bilingual/ENL Staff Developer (Probationary)DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Collaborate with the Supervisor of ENL and DL to plan, design, and deliver the CR Part 154-required professional development to teachers.Engage in the individual and small group Professional Development Coaching Cycles.Create grade-level and individual instructional support plans based on building feedback and district guidelines.Participate in ELL data analysis (ELA, Math, NYSESLAT, Aims Web, et al.)Provide training to families with students enrolled in dual language programs about available resources to support biliteracy and biculturalism.Assist with the implementation of Title III-funded programs.Assist the Supervisor of ENL and DL with all K-8 ELL district initiatives.QUALIFICATIONS:Comprehensive knowledge of second-language development and aligning pedagogical supports and strategies with developmental language levels Five (5) years of experience as an ENL or Bilingual TeacherExperience in Two-Way Dual Language programs (Spanish target language) preferredExperience as a teacher leader, mentor, and/or coachExtensive knowledge of CR Part 154, including state-mandated language acquisition assessmentsChildhood Education 1-6 or Common Branch K-6 NYS CertificationSpanish Language Proficiency requiredBilingual Extension or NYS Certification in TESOL requiredEffective: September 1, 2023 (Will be expected to attend New Teacher Orientation, August 25, 28, 29, and Supt. Days August 30 and 31st)Salary and stipend: Salary and benefits as per the TAT Contract; internal candidates can apply for the stipend portion if the above-listed qualifications are met.
