Skilled in the creation and implementation of individual positive behavior plans for students.Experience coaching students in the classroom, on the playground/in the lunchroom to generalize social-emotional strategies/skills. Enjoys problem solving and can provide solutions for students to find success at school. Collaboration with faculty, staff, and administration Skilled in the development of positive class wide behavior plans A belief in high expectations for all studentsPossess skills and strategies to partner with parents to increase student attendance at school.Highly skilled in identifying resources for students and families including mental health and community services. Ability to partner with community agencies to develop partnerships, resources and services for our students/families.Efficiently prepare for, participate in and develop IEPs (summarize student strengths, skills acquired and needs as well as set appropriate goals) for Program Reviews, Annual Reviews, Initial CSE meetings and 504 meetings as indicated. Contribute to setting goals and developing plans during Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) MeetingsExcellent work ethic Able to balance mandated responsibilities with unexpected building level needs. Utilize de-escalation and safe restraint techniques as needed with students (training provided if needed) Certification(s): NYS certification in School Social Worker Effective: September 1, 2023 (Will be expected to attend New Teacher Orientation August 25th, 28th and 29th) Salary: Salary and benefits as per the TAT contract
