Director of Secondary Pupil Personnel Services Syosset Central School District Available July 1, 2026 The Syosset Central School District is seeking outstanding candidates for the position of Director of Secondary Pupil Personnel Services. This position will assist and support the day-to-day management of secondary special education and all duties related to serving as the CPSE chair. The Director reports directly to the Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Personnel Services. This role is a 12-month position with a four-year probationary period. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: Hold valid NYSED School District Leader (SDL) or School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) certification Successful experience as a Special Education Teacher, Speech Pathologist, or School Psychologist Prior successful District or Building-level administrative experience preferred Experience chairing CPSE or CSE meetings preferred Strong knowledge of IDEA and NYS regulations (Part 200/201) Expertise in supporting students with diverse needs Exemplary communicator with all school-community stakeholders Experience implementing a Multi-Tiered System of Support/Response to Intervention Model Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional growth, development, and innovation within a high-performing setting Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills Ability to collaborate with a highly respected faculty and staff Please submit an application, resume, and cover letter on OLAS by April 20, 2026 to the attention of: Erin Goldthwaite Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Personnel Services Syosset Central School District P.O.
