English Teacher Syosset High School Available on August 25, 2026 The Syosset Central School District seeks an English Teacher for Syosset High School. This anticipated vacancy is a probationary appointment. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: Hold NYSED certification in English 7-12 required Prior successful experience teaching English Ability to align instruction and assessment with the NYS English Framework and Next Generation ELA Standards. Experience with Integrated Co-Teaching. Experience with teaching courses in the field of Communication Arts, including, but not limited to, Broadcast Journalism and Multimedia Production. Demonstrated proficiency and experience in online learning platforms such as Google Apps for Educators and/or CANVAS. A philosophy and practical understanding of supporting all students through a Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Educational Model. Outstanding communication competencies using a multitude of in-person and networking platforms. Exemplary organizational, time-management, and collaborative abilities.
