7-12 Assistant Principal/Athletic Director Salary : $80,000 - $90,000 Start Date: 07/01/2026 Administration Class Title : 7-12 Assistant Principal /Athletic Director 12-month position 4-year probationary appointment Qualifications: School District Administrator’s Certification or School Building Leader Certification (SBL). Master’s Degree with training or related experience in adjudication of student discipline, and scholastic athletics. Responsibilities: The 7-12 Assistant Principal shall be a member of the Administrative Bargaining Unit and shall be appointed in the 7-12 Assistant Principal/Athletic Director tenure area. The 7-12 Assistant Principal shall work under the supervision of the 7-12 Principal on all disciplinary issues and report directly to the 7-12 Principal and the Superintendent of Schools for AD duties. The Assistant Principal shall exercise all authority expressly granted by statute, Rule of the Board of Regents, Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, and local policy and regulation. It shall be the duty of the 7-12 Assistant Principal/Athletic Director; 1. To serve as 7-12 Assistant Principal: Assist the 7-12 Principal in the adjudication of all disciplinary issues arising on school property, at school sponsored events, on all district transportation, as well as other offenses falling under the scope of NYS DASA legislation and district code of conduct. Responsible for oversight of all grades 7-12 extra-curricular groups including fundraising, travel, group effectiveness by ensuring that records, files, reports, budgets, etc. are properly filed in accordance with statute, regulation or policy; Conduct announced and unannounced observations in fulfillment of APPR requirements under Education Law 3012d. Cooperate with the 7-12 Principal to ensure all staff members are evaluated annually. 2. To serve as Director of Athletic Programs Oversee the coordination, scheduling and evaluation of all interscholastic athletic teams, including the promotion of and collaboration with community feeder programs. Ensure proper credentials of all district coaches, coordinate travel, order and maintain athletic equipment, oversee the athletic budget appropriation, evaluate all coaching staff. Work with WAC league and Section II counterparts to ensure continuity and equity in scheduling and sectional seeding. Enforce the athletic code of conduct. Promote the growth and success of all current and potential athletic programs to ensure opportunity and equity for involvement in scholastic athletic competition for all students. 3. Other To collaborate with building principals to oversee, assign personnel to ensure maximize usage of contractual time. Assists with the development of board policies related to discipline, athletics, and extracurriculars. To fulfill other duties as deemed necessary by the 7-12 Principal and the Superintendent of Schools. .
