Typist – Full-time, 12 months @ District Office (Special Education Office)Qualifications:• Civil Service Certified and possess the ability to work efficiently with technology.• Must hold the civil service title of Typist or be eligible to take the exam when offered.• Typist secretarial/administrative experience, preferably in a school setting.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Google.• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.• Knowledge of special education processes, terminology, and compliance requirements is highly desirable.• Professional, reliable, and flexible work style; ability to collaborate as part of a team.General Responsibilities: Working with pupil personnel services staff and parents under the direction of professional staff or administration. Have knowledge of school district policies and procedures as well as special education rules and procedures preferred. This position provides high-level support to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, and Pupil Personnel services. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, maintaining accurate student records, coordinating meetings, and serving as a professional point of contact for staff, parents, and outside agencies.• Prepare, distribute, and maintain accurate documentation for CSE/CPSE meetings, Section 504 meetings, annual reviews, and other mandated processes.• Manage confidential student records in compliance with FERPA, IDEA, Section 504, and district policies.• Coordinate schedules for teachers, parents, related service providers, and outside consultants to ensure timely meetings.• Draft, proofread, and distribute professional correspondence, memos, reports, and notices.• Maintain department databases and student information systems (Frontline IEP, eSchool, Parent Square, or equivalent).• Track compliance deadlines and support staff in meeting state and federal requirements.• Assist with Medicaid billing and other required state reporting as assigned.• Provide excellent customer service when responding to inquiries from parents, staff, and community members.• Support office operations by answering phones, greeting visitors, and handling general office tasks.12 months, full-time, plus benefits.
