QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma, workstation support experience, understanding of TCP/IP, LAN, and client/server environments. Civil Service Exam be taken and passed when test becomes available.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: The basic function of this position is to be a technical support person (first-line technical support) for users of technology. This position supports the network users by making sure that all technology components to support workstation activities are working properly. Ability to enter work performed into tracking software and check for new assignments. Able to work in a classroom environment and not disrupt the class and to schedule disruptive work during non-class time. Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner without direct supervision.Technical expertise should include:Windows 11 & Chrome OS & MacOSOS install, configuration, and imaging in Windows Domain environments.Wired & wireless connectivity setup and troubleshootingAbility to solve most workstation related issuesInstall and troubleshoot problems with security camerasInstall and troubleshoot problems with VoIP phonesHardware & peripheral supportTroubleshooting of hard drive, RAM, & CD/DVD drive failures.Replace parts on laptops & ChromebooksInstallation and troubleshooting of printers (both local and network), scanners, & camerasInstallation and configuration of peripherals like card readers, doc cameras, etc…SoftwarePerforms network and local software installsTroubleshooting software issues and maintain a software libraryPlease submit your resume along with a cover letter detailing your relevant experience.
