Committee on Special Education (CSE) Chairperson Effective Dates: April – June 25, 2026 We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to serve as a Committee on Special Education (CSE) Chairperson through June 25, 2026. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that students with disabilities receive appropriate services in compliance with federal and state regulations. Key Responsibilities: Chair CSE meetings and facilitate collaborative, student-centered discussions Ensure compliance with all procedural and regulatory requirements related to the CSE process Collaborate with parents, teachers, related service providers, and administrators Maintain accurate documentation Provide guidance on special education policies, procedures, and best practices Qualifications: New York State Certification as a Special Education Teacher, Related Service Provider, or School Psychologist Demonstrated knowledge of the CSE process Working knowledge of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) regulations Strong organizational and communication skills Experience chairing CSE meetings preferred Rat of Pay: Commensurate with experience Additional Information: This is a temporary assignment for the specified period. Candidates must be available to fulfill responsibilities throughout the duration of the assignment.
