Districtwide Social WorkerEFFECTIVE Auguste 27, 2025MINIMUMREQUIREMENT: Appropriate New York State Certification: School Social Worker POSITION : Districtwide Social WorkerRESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee all aspects of the Project Excel program.Coordinate building based interventions including academic support services for students in the program.Provide counseling and support for students enrolled in the program.Maintain and develop community relationships to support the goals of Project Excel.Plan and organize parent meetings, field trips, and special events.Maintain contact with Students Services and building administration, parents, and teachers.Serve as a liaison between the coordinators/teachers/building personnel regarding student progress and needs.Oversee building based calendars for quarterly (virtual or in person) parent meetings and case conferences with parents and students.Coordinate and facilitate learning groups and the scheduling of community service learning opportunities for students in the program.Maintain contact with program coordinators and mentors to establish and distribute a schedule for meetings with student mentees.Bilingual preferred.
