NON-INSTRUCTIONAL POSITION AVAILABLEASSISTANT HEAD COOKDISTRICTWIDEEFFECTIVE: FEBRUARY 2025HOURS: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm (7.5 hours per day – plus ½ hr. unpaid lunch) RESPONSIBILITIES: -Assistant Head cook with the following: Managing kitchen with a minimum of direct supervision; supervising food service workers in kitchen and serving areas; assigning personnel to individual tasks, work stations and shifts; requisitioning and inventory of foodstuffs, supplies and equipment; writing a daily work plan, preparing meals-Manage hallway kiosks during breakfast-Manage inventory for snack rooms-Responsible for maintenance of all snack room equipmentQUALIFICATIONS: -1 year of experience in the preparation of food for a commerical establishment, institution, hotel, restaurant, or food enterprise-Must be able to replace Head Cook in the event of his/her absence-Ability to plan, coordinate and supervise food service personnel-Keep accurate records and make reports-Full knowledge of daily food requirements and “portion control” -Must have Food Manager's Certificate-Time management skills are extremely importantSALARY: As per negotiated contract
