ANTICIPATED FULL-TIME 12 MONTH POSITION AVAILABLEMAINTENANCE MECHANIC IIIFACILITIES DEPARTMENTEFFECTIVE JULY 2024HOURS: Night Shift (may be required to work Day Shift during summer, school break periods and emergencies)REQUIRED: Experienced Painter and Carpentry (Electric a plus)DUTIES:Painting and CarpentryElectrical, Plumbing, Masonry and Mechanical Repair and RenovationsSkilled Mechanic in major craft, knowledge in the use and care of the tools, materials and equipment of the trade.Experience exercising independent judgment in determining materials and methods to be used in the performance of specific assignments and experience in actively participating in the various levels of a given project, from initial planning through implementation and completion.QUALIFICATIONS: Either:One (1) year of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic IIFour (4) years of experiences in building maintenance or trades, (2) of whichinvolved skilled trades workNECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENT:Depending on the nature of the assignment, at this time of appointment and during employment in the title, candidates may be required to possess a valid New York State’s driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle to be operated.
