FULL-TIME 12-MONTH POSITION AVAILABLE LEAD MAINTENANCE MECHANIC IVFACILITIES DEPARTMENT EFFECTIVE 2022 HOURS: 6:30 am – 3:00 pm DUTIES: Supervision of maintenance activities. Communicating with all necessary school groups, organizing, training and supervising staff. Providing knowledge of the pertinent rules, regulations and codes which are applicable to the particular trade or trades; Preparing for the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the work; laying out of projects; lead the work of subordinate employees; work from complex instructions, building specifications, blueprints and sketches; preparing for the physical condition that commensurate with the demands of the position; decipher and accurately follow through on both oral and written instruction. QUALIFICATIONS: Must have been appointed as a Maintenance Mechanic III for a minimum of one year or commensurate experience. Working knowledge of at least three major maintenance craft areas, such as carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, high temperature water systems; Skill in the use and care of tools, materials and equipment of the trade; Experience exercising independent judgement in determining materials and methods to be used in the performance of specific assignments and experience in actively participating in the various levels of a given project, from initial planning through implementation and completion. Preferred Electrical experience as one of the major maintenance craft areas.
