FULL TIME POSITION AVAILABLEDistrict Safety and Security DirectorEFFECTIVE-- AUGUST 2022MINIMUMREQUIREMENT: Extensive experience in either Law Enforcement, School Crisis Response Planning,Security Management, Department of Defense, Homeland Security and/or MilitaryStrong knowledge of current surveillance technology and security systems New York State Security License preferred or obtained upon appointment DUTIES: Districtwide oversight and supervision of safety and security operations and personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and implementation of internal proceduresPlan and provide Emergency Response Planning to all staffConduct performance evaluations for safety and security personnelOversee the annual review and development of the district and building emergency response plansConduct audits to identify safety and security risks; recommends and implements solutionsWork collaboratively with administration and local, county and state law enforcementCollaborate with school personnel and law enforcement agencies that are responsible for protecting and securing the South Huntington school communityIntegrate current surveillance technology and updated systems to support districtwide safetyMaintain strict confidentiality regarding district procedures and student informationReview, revise, maintain, and implement safety and security policies and procedures SCHEDULE: Full time- 12-month position SALARY: Consulting agreement; compensation competitive and commensurate with experience
