Somers Central School District is anticipating an opening for a Public Relations Coordinator for the 2025/2026 School Year. Candidates must qualify through Civil Service.Duties and Responsibilities IncludeDevelop and implement a comprehensive communication plan.Conduct surveys to assess the needs of employees, students and parents.Assist the District Superintendent in scheduling personal appearances/interviews.Create media, such as press releases and social media messages to share with the public. Responds to media inquiries.Assist district in the effective use of new media tools. Aid the district in effective use of social media.Produce visual content such as photos, videos, graphics, and artwork to accompany content about the organization for print and/or digital media.Write/edit documents, press releases, announcements, website content for various internal and external publications.
