The Somers Central School District is anticipating an opening for a Coordinator of Learner Data and Intervention (CLDI) for the 2023-2024 School Year. The successful candidate must have 3+ years of Administrator experience; experience in data analysis, project management, and adult training; and must hold NY SDL or SDA Certification.Job Description:The Coordinator of Learner Data and Intervention (CLDI) supports The Learning Office in delivering, monitoring, and implementing district and school-wide learning program initiatives. In addition, the CLDI provides leadership while collaborating with administrators to guide the faculty in the process of using learning data to drive instructional practices and assists administrators in discussions of student learning data. The CLDI meets with faculty individually and in small groups, curriculum teams, departments, grade levels, administrators, and professional learning communities to support instructional and intervention programs. To effectively support educators in the use of data to improve student learning the CLDI must be committed to:The collection, monitoring, and visualization of student data.Making data-based instructional decisions regarding student needs. Working closely with administration, curriculum, and instructional faculty to ensure high fidelity implementation of learning programs. The candidate chosen for this position will possess experience with the following:Intervention:Develops and implements, in collaboration with administrators and school faculty, a district-wide Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) plan that includes academic and social-emotional supports driven by a high-quality pre-referral process.Advises and consults on district and building level MTSS initiatives.Plans, implements, coordinates, and monitors intervention programs including, but not limited to:Advanced Learning Program (ALP)Academic Intervention Services (AIS)Student Academic Support Center at SHSWriting Center (SHS)True NorthTransition Support ProgramMonitors the quality and effectiveness of intervention plans and provides feedback as needed.Data:Develops and coordinates district and school data teams.Advises and consults on school level data and intervention teams.Assists school teams in establishing decision-making processes based on learning data for determining when students need interventions (strategic and targeted).Researches, identifies, and trains site-based teams in universal screening and progress monitoring instruments to identify students in need of additional assessment and/or support and to analyze their progress.Collects and analyzes school data for district-level reporting at benchmark times.Works with school teams and administrators to establish, review and enhance data collection, analysis, evaluation, and reporting processes.Designs and implements ongoing faculty professional learning opportunities for all intervention program faculty.Interpretation of feedback data (faculty, families, and student).Interpret and communicate SEW data. Support and advise principals on the use of data and data analysis.Support systems for making educational data more accessible to administrators and teachers.Provide professional learning on data visualization tools. (e.g. Tableau)Provide professional learning on data driven decision making.Performs other duties as assigned.Reporting:Delivery of Excellence for All report monitoring SCSD commitment to all learners (SpEd, ALP, disaggregated group, 504, etc).Oversee and deliver Forward in Excellence Reports. (i.e. Program evaluation)Support schools in annual SMART goal reporting. (i.e. Middle and End of Year reports)Provides updates regarding effectiveness of intervention programs.Delivery of the following Elements of Excellence in the Forward in Excellence Report21st Century Knowledge and SkillsGlobal CitizenshipSocial, Emotional and Physical Wellness (Partners with Director of Counseling.)Annual report on intervention programs (e.g. ALP)Insights into Excellence Program Review (e.g. gather, analyze, interpret, and present data)Knowledge of:Best instructional practicesEffective oral and written communicationMastery of descriptive and inferential statisticsMethodology used in educational researchSurvey developmentProject management skillsSkills:Plan, coordinate, design, and conduct activities related to student learning data and intervention systems.Prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports.Accurately analyze and interpret, assessment and research results, and provide clear narrative and graphic explanation of data and trends.Ability to use statistical analysis software.
