Registered Nurse Posting # 043026-01 Position Dates: August 24, 2026 (2026 - 2027 School Year) Position Type: Full – Time Position Location: Southampton Elementary School – SES Salary: $71,078 (Step 1) - $78,971 (Step 4) (Salary per STA Contract) Requirements: NYS Licensed Registered Nurse Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Valid/Current AED/CPR Certification One Year medical/surgical experience or school nursing experience Responsibilities include: Provide basic health care and first aid to students that are ill, medically fragile and/or injured Provide treatment, document injuries and maintain medical records Provide ongoing communication with parents regarding injuries, medications, immunizations, allergies, etc. Administer daily medications Maintain up to date records on all students (i.e., physicals and immunizations) Follow NYS guidelines for immunization compliance Follow NYS Guidelines for vision, hearing, scoliosis screenings and physicals Gathers data and reports findings on NYS immunization and BMI surveys Respond to all medical emergencies within the building Participate in 504 meetings Building coverage when a nurse is absent Provide coverage for nurses in each building during lunch periods Assist building nurses with screenings and physical examinations Attend school day field trip when RN is required Provide routine nursing care, medical administration, emergency response district wide as needed Documentation and charting district wide as needed.
