Posting #: 102224-01Position Title: Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent (Confidential)Salary/Pay Scale: $80,000 – $85,000Qualifications: Graduation from a standard senior high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma. Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Any combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties as described, preferably in a public education environment.General Statement of Duties:Prepares responses to letters concerning programs, policies, and procedures for the Superintendent's signature.Schedules and arranges meetings, conferences, and appointments, and assembles and coordinates background materials.Organizes and executes organization-wide events on behalf of the Superintendent.Work evening hours to attend regular and special School Committee meetings, and other meetings and conferences as assigned.Maintains the Superintendent's calendar and screens and greets visitors.Good knowledge of organizational functions, laws, policies, and regulations of the office of the Superintendent.Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.Demonstrated proficiency in the use of the following computer software associated with the assignment: Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Google Office Suite, Frontline, CanvaPositive public relations skills, strong written and oral language skills; ability to communicate effectively by telephone, in person, and written form including independent generation of original correspondence.Consistently dependable and flexible, accepts new responsibilities/assignments willingly.Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, students, parents, and the community, and to represent the Superintendent and School Board effectively.Information: This is a full-time, 12 month position with benefits.
