The South Country Central School District anticipates an opening for a Director of Technology. The Director of Technology will be responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing the district plan for instructional technology, as well as, being apprised/informed on cybersecurity and Ed.Law 2D. Responsibilities:• Supporting technology users in the schools• Consulting on the selection of technology equipment and related material • Coordinating in-service activities in the area of instructional technology• Model effective uses of appropriate instructional technologyRequisites:• SDL or SDA NYS certification required• Successful experience as building level or district level leader• Experience as a classroom teacher with use of computers, networks, gateways, multi-media materials & smart boards.• Experience in teacher training in the use of technology for instruction purposes, overseeing technology upgrades and building/district wide implementation preferred but not required.
