Prior coaching experience is preferred, but not required. First Aid and CPR/AED courses are required before any coaching can take place. Requires a general commitment to daily, Saturday and vacation day practices. This obligation requires that a two hour daily practice schedule be conducted with the team in their activity. All Coaches are required to update their First Aid Course every three years and their CPR/AED every two years by a Nationally recognized company as per NYSED. Requires commitment to daily, Saturday and vacation day practices. Coaches, who hold a valid New York State, teaching, school leader or pupil personnel service certificate do not need a Coaching License.
