REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:NYS Administrative (SAS, SBL or SDA) certificationKnowledge of current trends and best practices in secondary education Experience with staff evaluations, teacher APPR and student supervisionA child-centered philosophy, with proven ability as a rigorous academic leader, innovative planner and effective communicatorPREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:3+ years of successful administrative and/or teaching experienceDemonstrated leadership and expertise in staff supervision and use of APPR rubricsComprehensive knowledge of NYS learning standards and assessments with ability to use data to inform decision making and target instruction in order to strengthen student achievementSuccessful development and implementation of the master scheduleBilingual communication skillsDiverse candidates are encouraged to applyRESPONSIBILITIES:Participation in planning and decision making that advances the interests of educational programsImplementation of professional development programs for building staff within all bargaining unitsDevelopment of effective building safety, emergency and disaster procedures, including safety inspection and drill practice activitiesCommitment to active parent involvement and the promotion of respect for the school communityCommitment to the academic, social and emotional success of all studentsWillingness to work collaboratively as a member of the district’s administrative team and professional learning communityResponsible for the implementation of testing: NYS assessments, Regents, local exams, etc.Manage student disciplinary referrals and serve as a building level DASA (Dignity for All Students Act) coordinatorServe as the Instructional Support Team chairperson and work closely with the members of the Counseling Center
