The successful candidate will assume the role of 6th grade ELA and Mathematics Teacher (grade level may change for the 2024-2025 school year). The selected candidate must have a strong work ethic and be collaborative with a positive attitude, good communication skills and prior classroom teaching experience. A strong knowledge of current curriculum practices and technology applications is desirable. Creative, flexible and a team player is a must! MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:New York State certification in Elementary Education.Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Experience teaching elementary ELA and Mathematics.Strong understanding of adolescent development.Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology.Strong classroom management skills.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Ability to work with learners with diverse learning needs.Ability to integrate social and emotional learning into classroom structures and activities.Bilingual communication skills.Candidates who do not meet all the above qualifications, with the exception of the certification requirement but feel otherwise qualified are invited to apply.
