The successful candidate will be responsible for providing Speech/Language services to a mandated caseload of students including direct student service, consultation for staff, IEP development, CSE attendance, evaluation completion and parent contact.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:New York State certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD).Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:3-5 years of related experience with elementary age students.Prompt training preferredInvolvement in appropriate State and national organizations.Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional/ assistive technology.Experience with augmentative communication devicesDemonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Bilingual communication skills preferred.Apply on OLAS
