Date: August 3, 2023 Posting #: CP 1794 VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT:ACADEMIC INTERVENTION TUTORS - ELAThe successful candidate will provide English Language Arts push-in and pull-out academic support.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:New York State certification in English Language Arts 7-12 and/or Literacy 5-12.Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Experience with engaging students in a small group setting who have varying instructional needs.Knowledge and experience in middle school English Language Arts instruction.Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology.Involvement in appropriate State and national organizations.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with colleagues, administration and parents.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities.Bilingual communication skills preferred.APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HOLD A CURRENT TEACHING CERTIFICATIONTutors are part-time certified teachers who provide academic intervention support for students in need.
