The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching secondary level technology education courses. Minimum Qualifications:New York State certification in K-12 Technology Education (Industrial Arts Certification).Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to start of employment.Desirable Qualifications:Responsible for teaching PLTW Gateway courses in middle school.Prior experience in a middle school or high school setting.Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities including but not limited to Robotics.Familiarity with various CAD software programs and use of 3D laser cutters.Understanding of computer programming and Robotics.Comfortable with use of tools and machinery.Willingness to work as part of an instructional team.Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology.Involvement in appropriate State and national organizations.Bilingual communication skills.Applications for the above position are to be made by submitting a cover letter including the posting number, two professional references and a resume on OLAS addressed to Neil D.
