Responsibilities will also include the development and implementation of IEPs for Special Class Math grades 6-8.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:New York State Certification in Special Education 5-9 or 7-12 and Math are requiredSOCE or Limited Time Extension Certifications are acceptable NYS Special Education Math 7-8 Certification Regular Education certification AND Special Education Generalist is acceptableApplicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment.Please do not submit if your certification ends at Grade 6.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum of 2 years teaching experience preferred.Ability to teach Special Class at the middle school level.Involvement in appropriate State and national organizations.Knowledge of Google Classroom and Instructional Technology.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.
