The Smithtown Central School District has an ongoing need throughout the District for per diem substitute teachers in all curriculum areas. Per Diem Substitute Teachers have the ability to select assignments through the use of the Frontline Absence Management (Aesop) system.Selected candidates will be considered for building substitute positions (working a schedule of four days per week) or Teaching Assistant-Permanent Substitute positions (contractual salary & benefits, working a regular teacher schedule and school calendar).Per Diem Substitute Teacher-$140 per day/$225 per day for long term assignmentsBuilding Substitute Teacher-$140 per day & set schedule working 4 days per weekTeaching Assistant-Permanent Substitute-$38,919 annually & teacher calendar/scheduleMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:New York State Teacher certification required.Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment.
