A vacancy exists for a P/T (.2) Social Studies Teacher at one of our high schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching one (1) section of a high school Social Studies course. Additional opportunities for classroom coverage and substitute teacher work may also be available.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:New York State certification in Social Studies 7-12.DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:Prior experience working in a secondary setting.Comprehensive understanding of the New York State K-12 Social Studies Framework.Prior experience implementing inquiry-based, student centered learning.Demonstrated ability utilizing instruction technology in classroom instruction including experience working with Google Classroom and other Google platforms.Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Bilingual communication skills.TITLE: P/T (.2) Social Studies TeacherSALARY: As per STA ContractLOCATION: TBDEFFECTIVE: 9/1/2022APPLY BY: 6/22/2022Applications for the above positions are to be made by submitting a cover letter including the posting number, two professional references and a resume on OLAS addressed to Neil D.
