South Kortright Central School District has full time opening for:School Business Manager/TreasurerResponsibilities/Duties: Responsible for overseeing multi-faceted business office operations for a small rural school district. Duties will include but are not limited to: District treasurer, budgeting, accounting, purchasing, overseeing risk management/insurance programs, human resources/labor relations, transportation and food services.Overview: Reports directly to the Superintendent. Strong leadership, experience with business office procedures, municipal accounting, along with state and federal financial reporting requirements are essential skill sets for the successful candidate. Excellent communication skills, ability to plan/supervise the work of others, knowledge of grant management and familiarity with financial software systems, Excel & presentation software a must.Qualifications: A Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Business is preferred and the successful candidate will possess or be eligible to possess, NYS School Business Administrator certification, School District Business Leader, or Eligible for Civil Service Appointment; permanent appointment pending successful completion of the Civil Service Exam.Salary: Commensurate with Experience; includes excellent benefit package.South Kortright Central School District is a gem of a small rural PK-12 district (approximately 330 students) encompassing over 100 square miles including the towns of Kortright, Bovina, Delhi, Stamford, and Meredith.
