The South Kortright Central School District seeks a student focused leader with experience in school finance to serve as our next Superintendent. Our next Superintendent is an outstanding communicator who leads with compassion, integrity, and character while establishing strong relationships with our students, staff, community, and Board of Education. We seek an experienced leader who believes in the promise of rural education and who is not afraid to take risks in the service of providing opportunities for our students. Our next Superintendent is committed to both the traditions and the growth of South Kortright.The South Kortright Board of Education is prepared to offer the successful candidate a salary of $130,000-$140,000 based on experience. A competitive benefits package will be provided.Candidates needs to establish residency within 30 minutes of the school. Candidates must possess a valid NYS certification as a School District Leader.South Kortright Central School District is a small, rural district that serves approximately 330 students and employs 82 staff. The district provides quality academic offerings and strong extracurricular programs. The PK-12 building is nestled in a beautiful valley in the Catskill Mountains. The Catskills offer an abundance of recreational activities including hiking, skiing, golf, fishing and hunting, as well as a thriving arts community.
