South Jefferson Central School District has an anticipated vacancy for a full-time 12-month Treasurer or Principal Account Clerk position in the District Office. The position involves responsibility for general accounting duties, district banking, and assisting in the budgeting process. School District accounting experience preferred. Treasurer minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business or public administration, economics or related field and five years of accounting or auditing experience. Principal Account Clerk minimum qualifications include: Associate’s Degree in accounting, business, or a closely-related field and three years of experience maintaining financial accounts and records; OR Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and five years of experience maintaining financial accounts and records; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits above. Must be eligible for Jefferson County Principal Account Clerk title. Salary $22-$25 per hour, commensurate with experience. Excellent fringe benefits.
