The District is seeking a dynamic, growth-oriented instructional leader who is energized by the work, committed to continuous improvement, and ready to help shape the future of our students and district. The Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction & Administration provides District-wide leadership for all academic programs and instructional systems, ensuring that every student graduates with the skills needed to be successful in the constantly evolving ecosystem of employment and education. This cabinet-level position serves as a key partner to the Superintendent in advancing the District's strategic vision. Key Responsibilities Oversee the development, adoption, implementation, and revision of all curricula and instructional programming to ensure alignment with district goals and state standards. Champion innovative and evidence based instructional practices to elevate student achievement. Build and lead a high-performing culture of professional growth through the District's APPR system, professional learning programs, and instructional coaching. Steward the District's assessment, intervention, and data systems to ensure every student is supported and challenged Provide leadership and support for building principals and directors Manage District-wide budgets for curriculum and instruction, and State/Federal grant proposals. Oversee all relevant State and Federal reporting requirements, ensuring accurate and timely submission of data and documentation in compliance with NYSED mandates. Lead the identification, planning, coordination, and approval of all District professional learning, including Superintendent’s Conference Days, workshops, conferences, and in-service and graduate coursework Expand access and opportunity through dual enrollment pathways, cultural arts programming, extracurricular activities, and field experiences. Serve as district Privacy Officer and Data Coordinator Assist the Superintendent in the daily operations of the district. Prepare reports as requested by the Superintendent; perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications NYS administrative certification Minimum of five years teaching experience and five years administrative experience Significant experience in curriculum leadership, instructional supervision, and program administration. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; record of effective collaboration with all stakeholders.
