The Shoreham-Wading River Central School District is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher for a short-term leave replacement assignment serving students in Resource Room settings at both Wading River School and Albert G. Prodell Middle School. The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff, monitor student progress, and provide targeted academic interventions based on individual student needs. Qualifications Appropriate New York State Special Education certification required. Strong background in literacy instruction and intervention preferred. Experience with multisensory reading intervention programs based on the Orton-Gillingham methodology (e.g., Sonday) preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and instructional skills.
