RequirementsCurrent Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification or Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in good standingMaster's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, or related field preferredResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive behavioral support services across K-12 schools supporting students with behavioral challenges through assessment, intervention planning, staff training, and consultation servicesConduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) to identify the function of challenging behaviors and develop corresponding Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)Write, implement, and manage FBAs, BIPs, and Positive Behavioral Support Plans for students across all grade levels, monitoring effectiveness and making data-driven modifications as neededTrain school staff on the implementation of behavior plans and evidence-based behavioral strategiesDesign and deliver district-wide professional development sessions on applied behavior analysis, classroom management, and positive behavioral supportsProvide Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training to paraprofessionals and staff members who work directly with studentsProvide consultation services to teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support students' behavioral needsParticipate actively in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings, presenting assessment findings and recommendations for student programmingWrite comprehensive reports documenting assessments, progress, and recommendationsFacilitate group parent training sessions to help families understand and support their children's behavioral goals at homeMust be CPI trained or willing to become CPI trainedExperience working with K-12 students with diverse behavioral and developmental needs requiredStrong knowledge of special education law and regulations required
