Academic Administrator for World Languages and English as a New Language11-month, full-time, tenure track position ? Profile of a Shenendehowa Employee Qualifications: ? Valid School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL) certificate preferred; NYS School Administrator/Supervisor (SAS) or School Building Leader (SBL) certificate required? Valid teaching certification? Minimum five (5) years experience teaching in World Languages and English as a New Language and/or related field and/or three (3) years of administration and supervision experience Responsibilities:Lead the articulation of comprehensive 6-12 World Language and ENL programs of study to ensure that all students meet and exceed the New York State Standards and graduation requirements. Work directly with the Deputy Superintendent , building leadership and faculty and staff to integrate key curriculum areas, including but not limited to, World Languages - French, German, Latin, Chinese and Spanish and administration of the ENL program grades K-12. Responsible for the leading, planning, assessment, accountability, reporting and evaluation of activities and student support focused on the development of globally competent and competitive graduates.
