PLEASE POST ANTICIPATED VACANCY The Seaford Union Free School District has the following opening: Assistant Director of Pupil Personnel Services (Elementary) Effective: July 1, 2024 Qualifications: Appropriate administrative certifications (New York State SDL or SDA) Knowledgeable experience with effective instruction, curricula and teaching materials and resources Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others Minimum of ten (10) years successful experience as a teacher, related field, or school administration Ability to provide effective supervision and evaluation of employees Ability to analyze data and present findings Responsibilities: District-wide CPSE/CSE chairperson; responsible for chairing CSE/CPSE meetings, including grades Pre-K-5 and out-of-district meetings; Responsible development and maintenance of all documentation relating to CSE/CPSE meetings; Facilitate parent intake meetings for students; Coordinate, develop and deliver professional development for instructional staff, related service providers, mental health staff, and/or aides; Provide instructional support and leadership to teaching staff to foster effective pedagogical practices and instructional strategies within the classroom for students with specific disabilities and behavior disorders across all educational settings PreK-5; Facilitate regular department meetings for all PPS staff; Coordination and supervision of the Extended School Year special education program; Observe and evaluate PPS staff; Work with building administration on the coordination and evaluation of instructional aides across the district; Attend SEPTA meetings and collaborate with the organization to bring in speakers, plan events, and facilitate parent workshops; Coordinate NYSAA testing and training for in-district and out of district students; Coordinate 3-5 State testing for out-of-district resident students; Coordination of outside provider agencies and related services PreK-5; Work collaboratively with building administrators, faculty, staff, parents, outside agencies, and community members to ensure the effective delivery of programs and services to students; Administrative liaison for Northwell Partnership, BOCES Mental Health Consortium and district wellness initiatives; Part 154 Liaison for students with disabilities Performs such additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director for Student Support Services; Performs such additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
