The Sewanhaka Central High District is seeking an Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. Certification: New York State certification as a School Building Leader/School Building Administrator/School District Administrator. Experience: Candidate must have a minimum of five years teaching experience. Three years supervisory experience is preferred. Qualifications: Elmont Memorial High School serves students in Grades 7-12. The assistant principal is directly responsible to the building principal. The successful candidate should possess those personal and professional qualities essential to the successful operation of a secondary school. This includes: Leadership experience in curriculum development, program evaluation and staff development Demonstrated leadership qualities; and the ability to contribute to the successful achievement of building and district goals. Knowledge of effective use of instructional technology Ability to maintain and cultivate a culture of high academic, social and emotional expectations Salary: In accordance with S.D.B.A.A. contract.
