The Sewanhaka Central High School District is seeking a District Director of Athletics, Physical Education Health and Driver Education for the 2025-2026 school year. This position will administer the programs of Athletics, Physical Education, Health and Driver Education according to the policies set forth by the Board of Education and NYS under the direction of the Superintendent of Schools.General Responsibilities:Oversee the district-wide operations of the Athletics, Physical Education, Health and Driver Education programsProvide consistent, supportive supervision and evaluation of building Athletic DirectorsDevelop a health curriculum program of study that conforms to the Board of Education Policy and NYS Learning StandardsSupervise district health services and school nursesSupervise the driver education program including the scheduling of all teachers, classes and studentsOrganize and administer the overall program of extra-curricular athletics, both intramural and interscholastic for the DistrictEnsure compliance with all State Section VIII and district rules and regulations governing interscholastic athletics including conduct, sportsmanship, athletic eligibility, transfer rules, selective classification program, etc.Attend Cabinet/BOCES meetings as directedOther administrative duties as assignedCandidates must hold:School District Administrator certification or School District Leader certificationPhysical Education certificationPrior experience as an Athletic Director in a public school preferredMinimum of five years of administrative/supervisory, teaching and coaching experienceInterested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume on OLAS by June 13, 2025.
