Southern Cayuga CSD is seeking dynamic and enthusiastic ENL teachers to work primarily with elementary students. The teacher would work with students who are identified as English Language Learners. They range in levels from Entering to Commanding based on NYSITELL and NYSESLAT exams. This individual would work on deepening student understanding of the English language through reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The teacher would have both pull out and push in supports depending on student needs. They would be responsible for developing age and skill appropriate lessons for small groups of students. The candidate should be well versed in theories and practices for teaching English Language Learners and have excellent communication and collaboration skills. The teacher will also collaborate with other teachers to help differentiate lessons as appropriate for English Language Learners.Curriculum for the pull out ENL services at the entering and emerging level is based on the Ready, Set, Go! curriculum. Curriculum for students at the transitioning and higher levels is aligned to grade level content.
