Schoharie Central School District is seeking candidates for a secondary Special Education probationary position. Experience working in consultant and co teacher classrooms highly preferred. OPENING:NYS Certified Teacher Position, Special Education 7-12, SWD All Grades, K-12 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:New York State certification Special Education required1 to 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience is preferred.Be committed to meeting the needs of a diverse set of learners.Able to adjust to a flexible workload and schedule.Solid communication skillsHave a track record of being a team player and community minded.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students with disabilities and their familiesKnowledge of best practices in special education instruction and assessmentExperience with assistive technology and other specialized equipment COMPENSATION: Salary commensurate with experience according to Schoharie Teachers Association Contract.
