JOB DESCRIPTION:The Schoharie Central School District has an opening for a Probationary 6th grade Special Education position for the 2023-24 school year.OPENING: (1) 1.0 Probationary Special Education Teacher GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: New York State certification in Special Education, Elementary or K-12 SWD. Be “highly qualified” and have: A Master’s Degree in Special Education or related field and certification in Special Education; or a Bachelor’s Degree and certification in Special Education. 1 to 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience preferred. Be committed to meeting the needs of a diverse set of learners. Have a track record of being a team player and community minded.COMPENSATION:Salary commensurate with experience according to Schoharie Teachers Association Contract.
