The Scotia-Glenville Central School District has a full-time, Leave of Absence position for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026/2027 school year. The position at Scotia-Glenville High School is working with students in grades 9-12+. The candidate in this position will work closely with the programs such as Special Class (15:1:1) settings and (12:1:3) Life skills programs. The candidate will also provide Speech / Language support for general education students. Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Speech/Language Pathology New York State Professional Licensure: Speech and Language Disabilities Initial or Professional Certificate or Speech and Hearing Handicapped Permanent Certificate ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred Responsibilities include the following: Completes in-depth diagnostic evaluations of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities Presents a comprehensive analysis of students’ communication abilities and needs Develops and implements effective goals, techniques and lessons. Incorporates available technology software and adaptive equipment to maximize students’ potential. Provides weekly whole group push-in speech lessons within special class settings to address developmentally appropriate language and articulation skills. Works with students and their families holistically Trains team members in the application of techniques. Follows students’ IEP to plan and implement speech and language activities, monitor student progress, and provide IEP updates during the school year. Utilizes effective crisis intervention and behavior management techniques Participates in CSE meetings, and make related service recommendations for the 26-27 school year Please apply through OLAS.
