The Scotia-Glenville Central School District is accepting applications for an anticipated full-time probationary Physics Teacher at the High School beginning September 1, 2026. Courses include Regents Physics and SUPA Physics. Appropriate New York State certification required. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:? Knowledge and a working understanding of the NYSSLS for implementation starting with the 2026-2027 school year;? Develop lessons to engage students in the Physics curriculum with the goal of mastery of the standards;? Be approachable and willing to meet student needs academically and emotionally;? Be a team player within the science department as well as within the Scotia-Glenville High School faculty;? Engage parents and families in the learning process through regular communication;? Be willing to become involved in the school community through participation in events, experiences, and professional committees.? Participate in regular PD either through the district or through external organizations;? Participate in the district mentoring program.
