The Scotia-Glenville Central School District (SGCSD) is accepting applications for a full-time, special education teacher to fill a leave from September 1, 2025 thru February 26, 2026. The position involves integrated co-teaching in a kindergarten classroom at Lincoln Elementary School.Minimum Qualifications: New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education either Students with Disabilities K-2 Generalist, Students with Disabilities All Grades Certificate, or Special Education Permanent Certificate.Job responsibilities and expectations include but are not limited to the following: Provide Specially Designed Instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring lessons are aligned with the state standards and designated curriculum framework. Analyze multiple data sets to inform instruction and decisions regarding educational programming. Progress monitor IEP goals by providing differentiated instruction, delivering interventions with fidelity, collecting and analyzing data, and monitoring students’ response to the interventions. Serve as the leader in the classroom, providing direction to teaching assistants and/or teacher aides. Manage student behavior through de-escalation strategies and positive behavioral supports. Collaborate with administrators, teachers, related service providers, parents, and community providers to understand and meet the needs of students.
