The Scotia-Glenville Central School District has a full-time, leave replacement position for a School Psychologist from September 5, 2024 to December 18, 2024. The position is at Sacandaga Elementary School. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Administering psychological, educational, social-emotional, and adaptive assessments, interpreting and communicating results in a user-friendly manner Participating in Instructional Support Team (IST) meetings to analyze data and develop tiered interventions Problem-solving utilizing a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework Conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and developing Behavior Support Plans (BSP), Individual Crisis Management Plans (ICMP), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) Supporting students in crisis through de-escalation and counseling techniques Assisting staff in the design and implementation of appropriate interventions and accommodations for students Providing behavioral consultation to teachers and staff Conducting reevaluations for Scotia residents placed in Capital Region BOCES classrooms Conducting initial and/or reevaluations for students attending Mekeel Christian Academy which is the nonpublic school located in Scotia-Glenville Collaborating with a range of individuals/agencies to promote and provide comprehensive services to students and familiesMinimum Qualifications: NYS certification as a school psychologist.Please contact Catie Magil, Director of Pupil Personnel Services, at (518) 347-3600 x7429 or cmagil@sgcsd.net with questions regarding this short-term leave position.
