The Scotia-Glenville Central School District is currently accepting applications for a year-long leave of absence Social Studies position for the 2024 - 2025 school year. The position consists of primarily Economics classes. Minimum Qualifications: New York State Social Studies (Grades 7-12) Certificate. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes diversity.Design curriculum and lessons that address New York State Social Studies Framework in relation to, “Economics, the Enterprise System, and Finance.”Utilize an array of data to drive instruction and differentiate materials for individual learners.Collaborate with administrators, teachers, related service providers, and parents to understand and meet the needs of students.Interested candidates can apply on OLAS and direct questions to Marissa Gordon, Academic Administrator for English and Social Studies, by email to mgordon@sgcsd.net.
