The Scotia-Glenville Central School District is accepting applications for a School Nurse position at the Scotia-Glenville Middle School. The position follows the 10-month school district instructional calendar. The candidate is expected to be highly organized, confidential, collaborative, and professional. Possession of a license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State is required.General Job Responsibilities: Communicate with parents and staff regarding health needs and concerns Consult with staff members concerning a variety of health factors related to non-attendance and communicable disease Track student immunization records for compliance per NYSED Physical, visual, and auditory screening examinations of students Administer medication (as ordered by physician) according to regulations and policy Administers first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees Complete and file accident/incident reports as appropriate Management of student health records and NYSED Health Guidelines/Regulations Maintains an inventory of health office supplies and equipmentInterested candidates can apply on OLAS and direct questions to Catie Magil, Director of Pupil Personnel Services, by phone (518) 347-3600 x71201 or via email to cmagil@sgcsd.net.
