The Scotia-Glenville Central School District has an immediate opening for a part-time .4 FTE (2 days per week) Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) / Committee on Special Education (CSE) Chairperson. This position will primarily oversee preschool with some school-age assignments.Required Qualifications:NYS certification as a Special Education Teacher or School Psychologist or Related Service ProviderMinimum of five years of experience in the field of special education Knowledge of federal and NYS laws, regulations, and mandates as they apply to special education services including Part 200 and 201 regulationsCSE experience with the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEP)Strong leadership, collaboration, organizational, written and communication skillsResponsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Serve as chairperson for the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) meetings Collaborate with county representatives, preschool evaluators and providers regarding the evaluation process and to ensure quality implementation and delivery of preschool special education services Complete STAC forms and other required paperworkPerform other duties as assigned by the Director of Special EducationInterested candidates can submit a completed application, cover letter, resume and three letters of recommendation by uploading materials to www.olasjobs.org
